Dear Members,

As you are aware, the official opening of courts 1 & 2 takes place on this Friday evening, February 22nd at 7:30pm.

This is indeed a very big event for the club as we mark the occasion.  While the opening of the new courts is the main event, we also celebrate our other significant developments over the past two years, the installation of energy efficient flood lighting on all eight courts and the resurfacing of what are now courts 7 & 8.

Although the new courts were part funded by a Sports Capital Grant, all of the works to date have been completed without a loan or any debt to the club.

We as a committee, who represent you, the members, are immensely proud of our achievements and thank you most sincerely for your continued support in making Nenagh Lawn Tennis Club a facility we can all enjoy and be proud of.

I have asked the three longest serving committee members to ‘do the honours’ for us on Friday evening, Anne Fitzpatrick, Tim Conway and Mary Ryan.

All three have given many years to the club in one way or another and continue to be very much involved with Nenagh LTC.

Friday night is about all of us, the members, and our achievements and we invite you to join in the celebrations.

New members are particularly welcome to join us and we look forward to meeting you. Clifford Carroll, president of Tennis Ireland and Eddie Ronayne, President of Munster Branch have both accepted our invitation to attend as well as many of our sponsors and corporate friends. A number of former presidents and club members will also be in attendance.

Following the formalities, light refreshments will be served in the club house.

We do hope you can join us.

Kind Regards,
On behalf of the Committee.

Margaret Folan
