Pepe’s Restaurant Junior Club Championships

There was a  very satisfactory entry of enthusiastic young players spread over many events, including large numbers in the U.9 and U.8 round robin events, at last weeks Junior Club Championships.

The Championships were sponsored by Pepe’s Restaurant, Kenyon St, Nenagh and Nenagh LTC President Anne Marie Darcy expressed the sincere thanks of all at the club to Pepe’s for their generous support.

Anne Marie also complimented all associated with the tournament, including the ever efficient referees/directors, Mary Ryan and Margaret Folan.

The success of the tournament was enhanced by the co-operation of players and parents.  The older juniors were also a big help with running the lower age events and compliments to Mike Molloy who manned the BBQ with aplomb on finals day.

The Liam O’Kelly Cup which is awarded to players for overall sporting/co-operative contribution to the tournament was awarded jointly to Albert Purcell and Jake O’Kelly.
