Late Linda O’Meara (Everitt)

The committee and members of Nenagh LTC were deeply saddened on Thursday morning 6th April upon hearing of the untimely death of Linda (Everitt) O’Meara.  Linda and her family lived next door to the club, the family being the club’s nearest neighbours.  Her sudden death at a young age is a grevious loss to her family and we extend our sincere sympathy to her husband Connie, daughters Jackie and Chloe, her parents Jack and Katriona, her brother Teddy, grandfather Dimitri, father-in-law Paddy O’Meara, aunts and uncles, the O’Meara family and Linda’s extended family.

As a mark of respect to Linda, all club activities including the Joe Doran and Dolores Cahalan Cup events and all club coaching was postponed and the club was closed from noon Thursday last until noon on Sunday.

International Caps for Nenagh Players

Impressive performances in earlier Spring veterans tournaments has resulted in international call ups for Deirdre McSherry, Lena O’Connor and Frank O’Keeffe for the annual Four Nations Seniors Championship which will take place in Glasgow from Sat 29th April – Mon 1st May.

It’s a significant honour indeed for Nenagh, a rural club, to have 3 players selected on the same team and we congratulate them. The event, which on the veterans spectrum features players in the various younger age groups, includes teams from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and is hosted annually as per rota by the respective nations.

Deirdre, Lena and Frank join fellow Nenagh members Anne Fitzpatrick and Gail O’Meara who have previously been capped for the Four Nations.

Breo Junior Spring Doubles
